In my breeding stock for Golden Doodles the Standard Poodle is a male and the female is a Golden Retriever. The Golden Retriever and the Standard Poodle both have great personalities, very gentle nature, and high level of intelligence. Both breeds enjoy the water. The two breeds together make a great combination for a very smart and loving pet. They are great with children.
Golden Doodles have very minimal shedding; therefore, they are great for an indoor pet. People with allergies can tolerate Golden Doodles much easier. The Golden Doodle’s coat goes through many changes. The coat does not get wavy until the puppy us about 4 months of age. It will continue to lengthen and mature until the dog is 2 years of age.
